Last Friday I sent you the Macro Calculator and Flexible Meal Builder.
A few of you replied saying you'd already plugged in your numbers.
Good. That's the foundation.
But I want to talk about what makes those numbers actually stick.
Most guys I work with have had the right numbers before. They've read the articles. Tried the apps. Some of them could lecture on protein synthesis better than half the trainers at their gym.
Having the right targets matters. It's the first thing I calculate for every client on day one. I built the free version so you'd have the same starting point. But the guys who get lasting results from those numbers are the ones who build an environment that makes hitting them automatic. That's the difference. It's an environment gap.
Let me give you a specific example.
One of my clients, Assaf, is a corporate executive in Singapore. Four kids. Heavy international travel 2 weeks per month. Client dinners multiple nights a week. He came to me thinking he needed to lose 10-15 pounds. He was actually 30+ pounds over. He was skipping breakfast, eating nuts and cheese thinking it was healthy, then showing up to business dinners starving and demolishing everything on the table.
We didn't give him a restrictive meal plan. We changed his environment.
He rode a motorcycle to work every day. Zero steps built into his commute. We swapped it for public transport. Just the walk to and from the station added 6-7k steps a day. No gym session. No morning routine overhaul. Movement became automatic.
Then we built a pre-game strategy. Before any business dinner, he stops and grabs a protein shake and some chicken. He walks in already fueled. He can enjoy the meal, have the drinks, be social. No more desperation eating that was killing his progress.
He's down over 40 lbs now. Still traveling two weeks a month. Still doing the client dinners. None of that changed. What changed was what he did inside of it. And the bigger shift was less tangible. He graduated from tracking entirely. He told me, "I don't need to measure anymore. I just know."
This is what I call environmental design. And it's the foundation of everything I do.
Your Macro Calculator gives you the right targets. That's the starting point, and it's essential. The men who make those numbers stick are the ones who build defaults around them. They're not relying on willpower at 8 PM after a long day. They've already set up their environment so the right choice is the easy one.
The men who sustain results have better defaults.
If you want to see this play out in full with a real client, real transformation, real results, I recorded a deep-dive on my YouTube channel.
Worth 10 minutes if this idea landed for you.
More next Friday,
Zack
